Role overview
The Secret Source internship program is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience joining a growing company doing exciting, varied projects. We’re looking for people who excel at solving difficult problems, love learning and thrive working in a team.
Our goal is that at the end of your internship at Secret Source you will not only have gained valuable experience but also all the essential skills you need to begin a career in web / app development.
What will you be doing?
During the internship, you’ll be taught the basics of working in a web development team and have the opportunity to see what it’s like to work on a real project - attending standups, helping developers, participating in open source, and learning about testing.
You will work in a team building a real project where you can practise your technical skills and learn to work in a professional development environment. You will learn: HTML, CSS, JS best practices. Source control (gitflow / feature branches). Scrum / Agile methodologies. How to write tasks, user stories and acceptance criteria. TDD and how to write tests. Creating pull requests and how to do code reviews.
The internship will be exclusively for students of the ULPGC.
Skills and experience
- The ideal intern will have experience in HTML, CSS and JS and have shown an interest in web or mobile app development.
- As we work with mainly English speaking clients a reasonable level of English (B1+) is required.
